BMS Group (“BMS”), the independent specialist (re)insurance broker, today announced that Tan Pawar has today joined as managing director of the new Private Equity, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and Tax Insurance division. He reports to Ian Gormley, managing director of BMS Global Risks.
Pawar brings over 13 years’ M&A and legal experience. He has also held various senior positions at Paragon International Insurance Brokers Ltd and Willis Ltd. In his new role at BMS, Pawar will lead the multi-disciplinary team designing insurance solutions for cross-border and special situation M&A transactions.
Gormley said: “BMS launched this division last December and we have since been in contact with a number of current and potential clients. The conversations we have had over the past few months help us further understand the increasing market demand for customised M&A insurance products, particularly in the current situation. We are therefore pleased to welcome Tan and to accelerate our development in private equity, M&A and tax related insurance business.”
